Mobile App Design
My Approach
In designing Projex, I adopted a user-centered design methodology focused on the creative and collaborative habits of freelancers, students, and professionals. The app offers a seamless, organized space for managing diverse projects — whether coding a website, designing Instagram visuals, or building a mobile app. The goal was to create an intuitive, mobile-friendly platform that feels personal, practical, and easy to use across all skill levels.
Vision and Innovation
Projex aims to become the ultimate productivity companion for digital creators and teams and beyond. Our vision is to centralize task tracking, teamwork, and project completion within one sleek app — empowering users to stay organized, accountable, and collaborative, whether working solo or with others.
Identifying Unique Challenges
Through research and observation, we identified that many users juggle multiple creative tasks without a structured system — leading to lost progress, unclear responsibilities, and missed deadlines. Additionally, managing who you’re working with, on what, and what’s pending or done often becomes chaotic, especially for students and freelance teams.
Resolving Complex Problems
To solve these issues, projex offers a streamlined task manager tailored to creative workflows. Users can create, categorize, and track projects across various domains — from design to development. They can assign teammates, set deadlines, and mark progress stages (To Do, In Progress, Done, Blocked). A collaborative dashboard allows visibility on every detail, reducing miscommunication and enhancing productivity.
User-Centric Design
The UI embraces clarity and friendliness with color-coded statuses, visual project cards, and progress indicators. Onboarding is quick, with smart prompts guiding users to start new projects or join existing ones. A shared workspace model makes collaboration frictionless, while the app remains equally powerful for solo users managing personal tasks.
Accessibility and Optimization
The app is designed to be lightweight, responsive, and accessible on all devices — from low-end phones to tablets. With bilingual support (Arabic and French), icon-first UX, and offline task access, Projex ensures inclusivity and reach across different user profiles and regions in Algeria.
Conclusion
Projex is more than just a task manager — it’s a flexible digital workspace built for today’s creators, students, and collaborators. By identifying everyday frustrations in managing creative projects, it delivers a solution that feels natural, collaborative, and efficient. It brings structure to creativity and connects people with purpose.
